The tragedy of any internet site in cyberspace is the want of definitive purpose. This purpose provides the "raison d'etre" of anything that exists and will serve as a point of reference for the validity of its contents. Sites dedicated to the mission such as MISSIOMARIAE.NET tries to achieve ultimately in its own little way the very purpose of Christ's Incarnation and Redemption, namely, that souls be saved and the Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus might reign in every heart. Hence, it is but fitting to underscore the doctrinal and practical purpose of the site.
The doctrinal basis
The central mystery of the Catholic faith is in the mystery of the Person of Christ in the Incarnation and Redemption. (cf. John Paul II, Catechesi Tradendae nn. 5-6). It is through this that all other mysteries including the work of evangelization, finds their justification and ultimate point of reference. It is a mystery that is primarily Trinitarian "for God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son (Jn 3:16); and again:"If any one love me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and will make our abode with him." (Jn 14:23). It is also pneumatological for "it is by the power of the spirit that Mary conceived the Son in her womb" (cf. Lk. 1:35), that make us "cry out 'Abba Father'. (Gal 4:6) It is ecclesial, for it is in "the Son that we are formed into one body in Christ Jesus" (cf. Rom. 12:5). It is also Marian for "in the fullness of time, God sent forth his Son born of a woman, born under the law"(Gal. 4:4).
The practical finality
It is with this comprehensive finality that MISSIOMARIAE.NET continually finds its point of reference and gives explanation for its existence whether in its form or in its contents. In the act of the Incarnation the Son of God assumed every single human reality so as to be an instrument of redemption and divine elevation (cf. John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio, n. 6). Colors, shapes, texts and codes of the cyberspace enter into the orbit of divine action and become mediums through which souls can be saved. The inertness of a webpage becomes alive only when its message jumps out of its monitor screen to inspire souls and make another Paul of Tarsus of its readers who will cry out: "Caritas Christi urget nos" (the charity of Christ urges us) (II Cor. 5:14). We would like to appropriate for our goals the very words of Pope Paul VI :
"The proclamation of the Gospel message is the duty incumbent on her by the command of the Lord Jesus, so that people can believe and be saved. This message is indeed necessary. It is unique. It cannot be replaced. It does not permit indifference, syncretism or accommodation. It is a question of people's salvation. It is the beauty of the Revelation that it represents. It brings with it a wisdom that is not of this world. It is able to stir up by itself faith—faith that rests on the power of God. It is truth. It merits having the apostle consecrate to it all his time and all his energies, and to sacrifice for it, if necessary, his own life." (Pope Paul VI, Evangelii nuntiandi, n. 5, Dec. 8, 1975)

May our Blessed Lady bless this endeavor, so that it will only publish what she sees to be in accordance with the Divine Will of her Son. Ave Maria!
